Astonishing value
Hi friend!
Here are 3 ideas from my week that I hope deliver value to your days.
Astonishing value
We often hear the advice “strive to be a success” but I believe we should be re-educated and re-focused on “striving to be of value”. One gives, the other takes. One is service-focused, the other is self-focused. A business that maximises value for every stakeholder will inevitably be the most successful. The inverse is true too: when your focus is not on value, your clients will churn. A coaching business is built on relationships and transformation. So the question I journal on every month to keep getting better is: what can I do right now to provide astonishing value for my customers?
Strip out complexity
LAPS resonated with many of you over the last few weeks. One reader wrote me with her client journey. The biggest issue is complexity. I cannot impress upon you enough the importance of simplifying. If you’re stuck, if you’re trying to build momentum, if you’re getting started, it all begins with just one thing. One method to attract attention and leadflow, one method for applications, one method for you to present your work and one method for signing up a client.
If you’re not sure where to starts, here’s what I see working right now every day. Write/post exceptional thoughtful content 3-4 times a week. Lead them to a video where you teach something valuable in 10 minutes. Ask them to apply for your free discovery session. Deliver a great session (I’ve got a guide coming for you on this in a couple weeks). Invite them to sign up. Just keep putting the reps in and get better at this system. I have dozens of coaches making 6 figures with this model.
Here’s a visual from Justin Brooke that demonstrates the most simplest page framework:

Conversation starter
As a coach, CEO, leader, I am wiring myself to grow. It’s not often that I come across an idea or prompt that truly stops me in my track for days, but this HBR article got me. Here is a great coaching question; use it as the basis for a deep conversation this week with friends, colleagues and clients.
"If the world has changed so much, why have you changed so little?"
I’ll leave you with this. If you hit reply, these emails will now come to me so I look forward to reading your reflections.
Have a great week!
