Scale your coaching business (without burning out)
Hey there,
Being a coach might seem like one of the least scalable businesses — but it’s not.
It’s actually one of my favorite businesses for scaling. Because you can make more money with very little additional work.
The key is, you can’t scale it like a normal business.
You have to think differently. Here’s how.
1. Create a Course
Imagine waking up to find new clients have joined your program while you slept.
That's the power of a course.
It's not about replacing your coaching — it's about extending your reach and creating a "taster" of your expertise.
It also provides an opportunity for lower-ticket sales from people who can’t afford your normal coaching services.
Here's why it's a game-changer:
Serve people asynchronously (passive income)
Infinitely scalable (1 or 1000 students? Same effort from you)
Natural progression of your coaching model
Identify the main pain point your clients face → then create a course to help them solve that problem.
Like this course from Jay Shetty.
2. Group Coaching
Why limit yourself to one-on-one coaching when you can also impact multiple clients at once?
Group coaching isn't about replacing your 1-1 sessions — it's about expanding your reach and offering a different kind of value.
You can serve more clients without proportionally increasing your time investment.
And you can offer a lower-ticket option for those who can’t afford your 1-1 coaching. This also increases the perceived value of your 1-1 services.
That’s the pinnacle.
But people can join your group coaching if they’re not ready for your highest ticket offer (YOU).
Create a 6-week group program to overcome a specific obstacle, complementing your one-on-one offerings.
3. Increase Your Price
This is the easiest, fastest way to “scale” your business.
Charge more.
You're not selling hours, you're selling transformation.
When you price based on the value you deliver, your income isn't tied to your time.
Next time someone wants to work with you, add 20% to your price quote.
Keep doing this until some people start saying no.
You've found your sweet spot.
Remember: “Too many” clients is a clear sign it's time for a price increase.
4. Develop a Mastermind Community
Want to create raving fans who stick around for years?
Build a community.
A mastermind group creates a sense of belonging, facilitates peer-to-peer learning, and provides ongoing support (without constant 1:1 time from you)
Outline what your dream mastermind community would look like.
What's the focus? Who's the ideal member?
5. Run a High-Ticket Retreat
It's more work upfront. But the payoff can be incredible.
You’ll strengthen relationships with your clients, provide an opportunity for in-person breakthroughs, and even charge premium prices for attending.
What's the most transformative environment for your clients? A beach for relaxation? A mountain for perspective?
Your first event could be as small as 10 people. That’s how big things start.

6. Run a Paid Workshop
Want to generate thousands of dollars in just 60 minutes?
Run a paid workshop.
A well-crafted workshop can be your secret weapon for scaling.
Here's why:
Time-Efficient: Deliver high-value content to multiple people in a concentrated timeframe
Lead Generation: Attract potential long-term clients with a lower-commitment offering
Proof of Concept: Test new ideas or coaching frameworks before developing full courses
Additional Revenue Stream: Create a mid-tier pricing option between free content and high-ticket coaching
Focus on delivering one transformative outcome.
People are more likely to sign up (and rave about it later) if you promise and deliver a specific, tangible result.
Brainstorm three potential workshop topics based on your most in-demand coaching areas.
Which one could you develop and launch in the next 30 days?
Scaling your coaching business is about working smarter (not harder).
I'd love to hear which strategies you're going to try. Reply to this email and let me know.
