How to get noticed as a coach

Hey there,

There are over 70,000 coaches on LinkedIn alone.

And most of them sound exactly the same:

“I help entrepreneurs scale their business…”

“I help people transform their mindset…”

“I help professionals find their purpose…”

No wonder potential clients struggle to choose.

No wonder they “need to think about it.”

But here's what changes everything: A core mechanism.

It's your unique process - your specific way of getting results.

When you have one, you stop being “just another coach” and become “the coach with that incredible system that actually works.”

Think about it:

  • Tony Robbins has his “Rapid Planning Method (RPM)”

  • Marie Forleo has her “Copy Cure Framework”

  • Jay Shetty has his “1-4-3-1” method

  • Russell Brunson has his “Value Ladder”

  • Bryan Ward has his “Ancestral Stack”

Here's what most coaches get wrong:

  • They focus on credentials (clients don't care as much as you think)

  • They list benefits without showing HOW (that's why you're not different)

  • They try to be everything to everyone (killing their expert status)

Let me show you how to create your unique mechanism so you can stand out from the crowd.

1. What Makes a Powerful Core Mechanism?

Your mechanism needs three things:

  • A clear promise of transformation

  • A memorable name

  • Steps that make sense

Examples that work:

→ “The Clarity Code” - helps entrepreneurs find their niche in 3 weeks

→ “Profit Pathway Framework” - takes coaches from free to paid clients

→ “Revenue Rhythm Method” - helps business owners create predictable income

2. Find Your Hidden Mechanism

Here's the thing - you already have one. You just haven't named it yet.

Ask yourself:

  • What patterns do you notice in your most successful client transformations?

  • What steps do you naturally take them through?

  • What's unique about your approach?

Write down your last 3 client success stories. What were the common steps?

3. The Structure That Sells

Strong mechanisms follow this format:

  • Phase 1: Break down the old

  • Phase 2: Build the new

  • Phase 3: Integrate and accelerate

For example, if you're a mindset coach:

  • Phase 1: “Belief Audit” - identify limiting patterns

  • Phase 2: “Mindset Reset” - install new empowering beliefs

  • Phase 3: “Success Integration” - practice new behaviors

4. Name It Right

Your mechanism's name should be:

  • Memorable (but not cheesy)

  • Relevant to your niche

  • Easy to say out loud

Formula that works: [Desired Outcome] + [Format] Examples:

  • Clarity Blueprint

  • Success System

  • Growth Grid

5. Make It Tangible

This is where most coaches mess up.

Don't just list the steps. Make them visual.

  • Create a simple diagram

  • Use metaphors

  • Give each step a clear deliverable

Example: The “Client Attraction Code”

Step 1: Message Mining (Deliverable: Your Power Topics)

Step 2: Content Creation (Deliverable: Your Content Calendar)

Step 3: Engagement Engine (Deliverable: Your Response Scripts)

6. Test It In The Wild

Before you go all-in:

  • Share it with past clients (“Does this describe our work together?”)

  • Test it in casual conversations

  • Use it in your next discovery call

Pay attention to:

  • When eyes light up

  • What questions people ask

  • Which parts need more explanation

7. Put It To Work

Your mechanism should appear:

  • In your social bio

  • On discovery calls

  • In your content

Example post: “Just wrapped up another successful Clarity Code session with a client. Watching them go from 'I don't know my niche' to 'I know exactly who I serve' in 90 minutes never gets old. The secret? Step 2 of the framework: The Passion-Profit Matrix…”

The Truth About Mechanisms

They're not about being fancy. They're about being clear. And unique. When you can show exactly how you help, selling becomes easier.

Remember: Your process might feel obvious to you, but it's gold to your clients.

Try this: Write down your mechanism draft right now. Don't overthink it. Just map out how you actually work with clients.

Then give it a name.

That's your starting point.
